Candy Makes Everything Better

When I saw this month's stamp set from the {Stamps} of Life (candy2share), an idea quickly came to mind.  The stamp in the bottom left of the set (which can be seen in my supply list below) is meant to be a piece of wrapped hard candy, but when I saw it, I saw pig tails and knew I had to turn it into a face :-) I still wanted to stick with a candy theme though and include a little sweet treat.

I stamped the hard candy outline, then used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to draw in her bangs, nose and mouth.  The eyes are from the {Stamps} of Life penguins2love set.  I took one of the penguins and carefully inked just his eyes.  She's colored in with Copics.

In the next picture you can see the little opening for the candy bar.  It's a snack size Hershey bar.  The whole card is about 3 x 4 inches total.

For the inside, I used one of the sentiments from the same set as well as two of the other candy pieces from the set.  For the little chocolate holder, I stamped some more candy from the set and covered it with Glossy Accents to add the shine.
And I totally agree with the sentiment!!
