Time just flies! When last I posted, I was mostly doing cards, but now, with a toddler, I've gotten back into scrapbooking - traditional and pocket pages. Occasionally, I sneak in time to work on other projects, but my goal is to keep current with her scrapbook. Which is why I like the new sketch challenges from <a href="http://blog.freckledfawn.com/">Freckled Fawn</a>.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is the sketch for April's challenge:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had the perfect picture in mind and started gathering supplies. Here's how it all came together:</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBQbHQX_-xNIKbkI9_nq6xZOECaqKcQVYOcce0ocNKtHa3byqSIPf5u_-D765qDDM3RNE157hI86Ujd6nWcXdDhMna8AxNPskgy3L7absvmnNGVuKknWzRh0OupENTEiS21xnLwEcRoNc/s1600/IMG_2183.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBQbHQX_-xNIKbkI9_nq6xZOECaqKcQVYOcce0ocNKtHa3byqSIPf5u_-D765qDDM3RNE157hI86Ujd6nWcXdDhMna8AxNPskgy3L7absvmnNGVuKknWzRh0OupENTEiS21xnLwEcRoNc/s400/IMG_2183.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I think this is my go to color combo lately. Gorjuss doll was stamped multiple times and bits were colored with copics then layered to give her some dimension. The patterned paper and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn. The epoxy stars I found in my stash.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thanks for stopping by!</div>

I colored something!!I had two baby showers in May so there was a lot of amazing gifts from loved ones and of course lots to put away. Now that we got all of the goodies in their new homes, I wanted to do something with all of the cards that were given to us. I have <a href="http://www.shopbeckyhiggins.com/collections/accessories-physical/products/12x12-envelope-pages-physical-accessories">these</a> 12x12 envelope pages that I thought would be great for saving the cards. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I stashed the cards in the envelope then realized I couldn't let the front pocket/label unadorned. I broke out the copics and had at it! Boy, it's been a while! Here's what I came up with...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn9QjcmA2TcxkmPBDhNptrkIBcky4InxrA9XaMAdFZoAOa5jZuBskWOzu4gl6YyqAvIKe_A603xHGPZeETAhZ9t5UZPR7l40NWcYWV9qEEJYTYwJL9arIshALbpiF0j4wJBXnUJwrhBMs/s1600/IMG_20150602_0001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn9QjcmA2TcxkmPBDhNptrkIBcky4InxrA9XaMAdFZoAOa5jZuBskWOzu4gl6YyqAvIKe_A603xHGPZeETAhZ9t5UZPR7l40NWcYWV9qEEJYTYwJL9arIshALbpiF0j4wJBXnUJwrhBMs/s320/IMG_20150602_0001.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I kept it pretty simple since it as going into the front pocket, although I kept staring at some sequins and epoxy dots that I wanted to use ;) And here it is in the envelope:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk-xIk07C9L3TApaVBRT2k13qsrwoWLIsc8Eg3GkmIIq16yrjXgam8pxYAicuVVlpryQb1vmYqnb0tZTKRHG4LZVVk6Po2pC-KOt-4S4ci-nM0ckqS2my8PY4ftX5gVJsuBhmmkeaXlsU/s1600/IMG_2214.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjk-xIk07C9L3TApaVBRT2k13qsrwoWLIsc8Eg3GkmIIq16yrjXgam8pxYAicuVVlpryQb1vmYqnb0tZTKRHG4LZVVk6Po2pC-KOt-4S4ci-nM0ckqS2my8PY4ftX5gVJsuBhmmkeaXlsU/s320/IMG_2214.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And since <a href="http://www.markerpop.com/catalog/">MarkerPop</a> is having an <a href="http://blog.markerpop.com/2015/06/01/markerpop-challenge-70-anything-goes/">Anything goes challenge</a>, I thought I'd throw this into the challenge as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Have a great day!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<script async="" data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" defer="" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" type="text/javascript"></script>The snow is coming down here today, and since we ran errands last night before the storm, I thought today would be a perfect day to sit and craft! I'm catching up on some of my scrapbooking - all of the pictures I had printed are done, so now I'm looking for more pics to print ;)<br />
<br />
And I remembered I had not made my <a href="http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-february/">February - Tim Holtz inspired - tag</a> so here it is:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKj1C1tw984tSSghb9Qv8myIhbnFh-A2bdVl6B4OECoXsZl3AG7EbTQw1p5KWWiIgLge_Xjgr64Vjq2Cl4kxtiJRYdBQfz5OwSbMyzF6zofTxGARe_Gvtb3L4xXJtN7WSrPtzeuPYC_eM/s1600/IMG_2105.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKj1C1tw984tSSghb9Qv8myIhbnFh-A2bdVl6B4OECoXsZl3AG7EbTQw1p5KWWiIgLge_Xjgr64Vjq2Cl4kxtiJRYdBQfz5OwSbMyzF6zofTxGARe_Gvtb3L4xXJtN7WSrPtzeuPYC_eM/s1600/IMG_2105.jpg" height="320" width="180" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I followed his directions for creating the background - collaged some paper together, sealed it, traced it with a marker, sanded, added spots of white paint. For the hearts, I used a couple of heart punches I had. I punched out a bunch of each one. The big heart is five layers to gather, the others are anywhere between one and three layers. To finish the hearts, I used some walnut stain distress ink around the edges. Once all of the pieces were put together, I smeared some red stickler around with my finger to add some glitter, but not too much ;)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<script async="" data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" defer="" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" type="text/javascript"></script>It's been awhile since I've crafted just for the heck of it. I haven't had much energy so what I was doing was for the design team obligations (which I love, I just didn't have any energy to do much else), so things around here have been neglected a little. This weekend I've found my energy again (or maybe it's coming back now that I'm past the first trimester!) and I've decided to take up the Tim Holtz tag challenge.<br />
<br />
Every month I see his tags and think I need to try it for myself. I never have until today! It was so much fun trying out some of his techniques. I don't have all of the distress products, so I've substituted some as I went along, but boy it does make me want to go shopping ;) The first substation was the tag size. I didn't have the #8 tags, so I went with the #5. Much smaller, but I still made it work!<br />
<br />
Here's my tag:<br />

I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post! The holiday preparations are keeping me busy than I thought!
Today, I'm sharing the last release for 2014 from My Whimsical Little World. I stuck with a Christmas theme for my cards, but these digis can definitely be used for so many celebrations.
To start, here's <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/216002692/instant-download-digital-stamp-celebrate">Celebrate Cupcake</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHNhmn1wHYX8_9nolnEyrc1nOME9XvLxJV0XprvHjUYGTR7iHk1SkM1OGUxmH8elPjGdVW9S_t4sEaYPjUUVO8if9unE3omsXlV37QMUIkT-kNAMFY-ysi3CItkbr6yhXKT9PdmEtUpnA/s1600/100_2267.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgHNhmn1wHYX8_9nolnEyrc1nOME9XvLxJV0XprvHjUYGTR7iHk1SkM1OGUxmH8elPjGdVW9S_t4sEaYPjUUVO8if9unE3omsXlV37QMUIkT-kNAMFY-ysi3CItkbr6yhXKT9PdmEtUpnA/s1600/100_2267.jpg" height="335" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the same paper line for all three of my cards today (Bella Blvd's Christmas Countdown along with the green glitter dot paper from Doodlebug). I printed the images on a couple different colors of paper and paper pieced them for the final look. I love that the little sign on the cupcake is blank so you can add any sentiment you want for any occasion. I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to my icing for a sugary look.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next up is <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/216002410/instant-download-digital-stamp-christmas">Christmas Star</a> (now just because Christmas is in the title of the digi, doesn't mean it has to be used for Christmas ;))</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9JIrMjtOy1oYxT8lNYdC1SSTA1dc_pvF_QX3qlM1t5aC_pOUyqduApn5nwaA9TLmR_iPR71wWfE5uU0qfWxgiyD_Y1vC2_aeP_LwOQHKiTTPzH9VQyfElAWLAZJrGgp-RMz4CcA0IYno/s1600/100_2268.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9JIrMjtOy1oYxT8lNYdC1SSTA1dc_pvF_QX3qlM1t5aC_pOUyqduApn5nwaA9TLmR_iPR71wWfE5uU0qfWxgiyD_Y1vC2_aeP_LwOQHKiTTPzH9VQyfElAWLAZJrGgp-RMz4CcA0IYno/s1600/100_2268.jpg" height="400" width="332" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And probably my favorite of this release - favorite finished product and favorite digi - is <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/216006921/instant-download-digital-stamp-warm">Warm Wishes</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih8NqgUkZh2Auizv1-tTryDhr-Qn2IBLRq5eHG_Fiqn5NpiPwJoX5Hv9myh-8EnaA_RzG8UR6KRU8nfVkidjwZ7J2dTBJ-_Lme2-xSCorTMHpS_GKREa14dqcjCghIds0ebJk_D0GhECo/s1600/100_2266.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih8NqgUkZh2Auizv1-tTryDhr-Qn2IBLRq5eHG_Fiqn5NpiPwJoX5Hv9myh-8EnaA_RzG8UR6KRU8nfVkidjwZ7J2dTBJ-_Lme2-xSCorTMHpS_GKREa14dqcjCghIds0ebJk_D0GhECo/s1600/100_2266.jpg" height="400" width="305" /></a></div>

<script type="text/javascript" async data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"></script>Today I'm sharing some projects for the latest <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PaolasPapers?ref=l2-shopheader-name&order=date_desc&page=1">My Whimsical Little World</a> release.<br />
<br />
First up, a card I made using the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/209474112/digital-stamp-all-dressed-up-for?ref=shop_home_active_3">All Dressed Up for Christmas</a> digistamp - I really liked this digi and wanted to keep him a pretty good size, so I opted to color him and just mat him on a couple of Christmas colored papers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2AK52aT4rYhOZLcvEv9g0LpvreYmihTyHP9t3Qq0YPc9aqodThcMh26CggYqVuhoEUZrOexYHx_BAlB3PICdOsmGnFMy4CWJ-5VsbzjIGZNt9Y4rDM_VhjFC9d0TEwU9nKGE3U5HWAQ4/s1600/100_2246.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2AK52aT4rYhOZLcvEv9g0LpvreYmihTyHP9t3Qq0YPc9aqodThcMh26CggYqVuhoEUZrOexYHx_BAlB3PICdOsmGnFMy4CWJ-5VsbzjIGZNt9Y4rDM_VhjFC9d0TEwU9nKGE3U5HWAQ4/s1600/100_2246.jpg" height="320" width="263" /></a></div>
<br />
Next, I decided to make a gift tin using the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/209476338/digital-stamp-christmas-owl?ref=shop_home_active_2">Christmas Owl</a> digi -<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWAyGJONQZPSZ__Kxg9TA5laDos_YxsE_FvRDbuTcetLTxnB-ri1kn7A55P85lUWNagOwPqMF8GmavB-4pNwY1rqbZg-IEReteakSjkiN8LbFTPkA8pjDuxqne_D0gPvsxEDfrICI-TV0/s1600/100_2244.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWAyGJONQZPSZ__Kxg9TA5laDos_YxsE_FvRDbuTcetLTxnB-ri1kn7A55P85lUWNagOwPqMF8GmavB-4pNwY1rqbZg-IEReteakSjkiN8LbFTPkA8pjDuxqne_D0gPvsxEDfrICI-TV0/s1600/100_2244.jpg" height="320" width="253" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I colored parts of this image on 5 different printouts and layered them all together for the final look. Then finished it off with some sequins and rhinestones.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-tI9JfSEn9YoXeWdp4z6aUg8Gjxqpd11C6s3q1rsegGHbGG7CcquF_gCqLP5XI4M1XJI3wT78d18z4Tce3NFKwBIXhoQho0qwYzOsJDdY24_0o7aDXmPsI_4DEGEudWS-bDHovz93ckM/s1600/100_2240.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-tI9JfSEn9YoXeWdp4z6aUg8Gjxqpd11C6s3q1rsegGHbGG7CcquF_gCqLP5XI4M1XJI3wT78d18z4Tce3NFKwBIXhoQho0qwYzOsJDdY24_0o7aDXmPsI_4DEGEudWS-bDHovz93ckM/s1600/100_2240.jpg" height="205" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly, I broke out my art journal and whipped up a page using the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/209475674/instant-download-digital-stamp-love-u?ref=shop_home_active_1">Love U Latte</a> digi - </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4c4rqibS9MRh9CSywFLINQmZ6zhgodwVxk1uh8g72pJHkxZIWMjUwfHccc2GMWId0yVU7uux1f9rdvx9gOouogPDq3k25XzcSOkXwJxAamaYejpWu_zbe0nyXl7Recvw_a9lqBwWPGRE/s1600/IMG_20141026_0001_NEW.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4c4rqibS9MRh9CSywFLINQmZ6zhgodwVxk1uh8g72pJHkxZIWMjUwfHccc2GMWId0yVU7uux1f9rdvx9gOouogPDq3k25XzcSOkXwJxAamaYejpWu_zbe0nyXl7Recvw_a9lqBwWPGRE/s1600/IMG_20141026_0001_NEW.jpg" height="232" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now hop on over to the other design team members to see what they've come up with using the new release:</div>

<script async="" data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" type="text/javascript"></script>I always have problems trying to make a masculine card, so this year for my dad's birthday card, I found a 6x6 pad of paper by Authentique that was masculine and stuck to those colors. I kept the lay out really simple and I think I kept it pretty masculine.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijsmgibGb43xYZGG1b1r1YO-G4lVQA_F2QXjJZnEcAJF9cW7HTg1i1xXP-dvCT8q5ZugBNlcyYl_P3dazKS47yMzQUSaO3rPNg_8ZYRIhUo97PqzLKQ4QjbEBWh5whG33_sr_aeNsbRUQ/s1600/100_2177.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijsmgibGb43xYZGG1b1r1YO-G4lVQA_F2QXjJZnEcAJF9cW7HTg1i1xXP-dvCT8q5ZugBNlcyYl_P3dazKS47yMzQUSaO3rPNg_8ZYRIhUo97PqzLKQ4QjbEBWh5whG33_sr_aeNsbRUQ/s1600/100_2177.jpg" height="342" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used a car outline sticker from Elizabeth Craft Designs and paper pieced it onto blue card stock. I used my wink of stella and wink of luna pens to color in some accents. Then I matted it all on paper from that pad and stamped the sentiment with Clark's ABCs from Lawn Fawn.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the inside, I used some scraps from the paper pad to add a little interest and finished the saying with the same alphabet stamp. Clean, simple, and masculine :)</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
First up, a cute little <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/207800295/digital-stamp-pilgrim-boy?ref=shop_home_active_1">pilgrim boy</a>:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3k5yxdjNfeaywN_xvZpnxQCoqJLYvOr_bGGXZnd-ACyBtJDq1FWnMnOoRcB3mtFs6XYtfGwLJoR0LA_g4IS46pKu-mwqjsHH7gT3vX4X2ZEUScB5wheAXM2EUcM_z7cUIeaSyAgSj8Ds/s1600/100_2199.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3k5yxdjNfeaywN_xvZpnxQCoqJLYvOr_bGGXZnd-ACyBtJDq1FWnMnOoRcB3mtFs6XYtfGwLJoR0LA_g4IS46pKu-mwqjsHH7gT3vX4X2ZEUScB5wheAXM2EUcM_z7cUIeaSyAgSj8Ds/s1600/100_2199.jpg" height="392" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For this card, I colored the image with my Copics, masked it the colored the background with distress inks after die cutting it. Before I peeled off the mask, I stamped on the sky to add a little texture. Once my image circle was complete, I matted it on some autumn-y paper. It was still missing something though. I found the pumpkin puffy sticker in one of my recent Freckled Fawn kits and thought it was perfect for this guy. I ruffled up some washi tape and added the sticker to finish it off.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next up, something for all of the football fans out there...<a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/207788228/digital-stamp-in-the-air?ref=shop_home_active_1">In the Air</a>:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To be honest, I was a little stumped with the football digi at first. I don't follow football at. all. But we have a little game going on at work so I started brainstorming and landed on turning it into a Super Bowl invite. I colored the football and cloud with my Copics again, masked it off and distress inked the background. The center piece is matted on the base which is edged with washi tape (same tape, I used for the flower in the first card, just layered on top of itself to make the lines cross themselves). I added embellishments out of my Freckled Fawn kits again. Super happy with how this one turned out :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I found this quote awhile back that I really like somewhere and when I was digging through my stash, I found these acrylic/transparent camera and thought, they must go together on an art journal page! So here it is...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhvYQxMc2kaebEHSZYZ88YV8s-UZjj87NDCYUz_2ebjZ-nUd_dgJfB9vjBcgtRvw7ucAqnjtVhi1wwGBdHxybemR8wA4WHGNIQKrDIhzCNB8qQPuhAmlMN5jxl9V2r9gNeKaIHOsK6vzY/s1600/100_2217.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhvYQxMc2kaebEHSZYZ88YV8s-UZjj87NDCYUz_2ebjZ-nUd_dgJfB9vjBcgtRvw7ucAqnjtVhi1wwGBdHxybemR8wA4WHGNIQKrDIhzCNB8qQPuhAmlMN5jxl9V2r9gNeKaIHOsK6vzY/s1600/100_2217.jpg" height="282" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used a black gelato to color some white gesso to get the grey background. Then I used some matte black embossing paste with a stencil for the chevrons. All of the letters are rub ons that I had in my stash except for the word camera, they're foam thickets. I added some strips of Tim Holtz Negative Strip and finished it all off with the cameras that caused the inspiration.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijFGxB9nqm6mFkWBwsGx0o_AXv_VGUoVmZgDEGc9Evc-uiJxh-p8Qx-hBLMfH07iBaB0w67MlfBolrsJ-qrE5lqyH9ggW7UowqAFjI2B4sJpXlwp44jE2bQQSX9eB0RlmcRt12EOSculM/s1600/100_2218.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijFGxB9nqm6mFkWBwsGx0o_AXv_VGUoVmZgDEGc9Evc-uiJxh-p8Qx-hBLMfH07iBaB0w67MlfBolrsJ-qrE5lqyH9ggW7UowqAFjI2B4sJpXlwp44jE2bQQSX9eB0RlmcRt12EOSculM/s1600/100_2218.jpg" height="218" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wanted to tie the black letters in a little more with the rest, so I used a white paint pen to add some highlights.</div>
<br />

<script async="" data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" type="text/javascript"></script>I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post.... time just flies by!! Today I'm sharing a little Halloween card I made while playing with my latest <a href="http://ohdeermekit.myshopify.com/">Freckled Fawn kit</a>:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZlutu4hmEYX8d2TxRwmiLoBG67LWfY6m5EgND59pds9aVZUOaCumovxhsFBuEQs-3RWlSx3m61BJ1qWsklaZtr72kfl3xv6zMdtXh7_56Jb28Zq8tITQaUTXX0n5ZCpo_ua1lt89zTR4/s1600/100_2204.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZlutu4hmEYX8d2TxRwmiLoBG67LWfY6m5EgND59pds9aVZUOaCumovxhsFBuEQs-3RWlSx3m61BJ1qWsklaZtr72kfl3xv6zMdtXh7_56Jb28Zq8tITQaUTXX0n5ZCpo_ua1lt89zTR4/s1600/100_2204.jpg" height="400" width="296" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When I saw the frames in the kit, I immediately though window card. I found a die that was close enough in size and got to work. I don't do a ton of Halloween cards, so I couldn't decide what to use as a background, but while sifting through all of my paper, I found this great bat/spider web paper that was perfect! I loved the chipboard letters for this and inked around the edges with a black marker so the brown chipboard color wasn't showing through, which made them pop a little more (and yes, technically, my exclamation point is the letter L with a dot ;)). I finished it off by added some glitter epoxy stickers.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the inside, I used the bat stamp from this month's kit and embossed it with some black glitter powder. I used a stamp from an older kit to contain the bats - wouldn't want them jumping off the page at ya ;) - and added a little sentiment.</div>
<br />

<script async="" data-pin-color="red" data-pin-height="28" data-pin-hover="true" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" type="text/javascript"></script>Today is a quick post, sharing a tag I created with a smaller Prima Doll Stamp. <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I stamped her directly onto the prima tag and colored her hair with a brown Wink of Stella. I stamped her again onto some Lawn Fawn paper to create her dress and bow, layering her dress for some dimension. Then once more onto some white card stock for her socks and shoes - the shoes I colored with a black Wink of Stella. I added some random strips of washi tape from Freckled Fawn and a strip of some of the left over Lawn Fawn paper. Then finished it off with a colorful sticker, some wood veneer and stickles, before adding some ribbon and twine.</div>

Paola has created 6 adorable little images (4 animals and a companion background!) and I'm showcasing the three penguins today.<br />
<br />
I decided to make a set of mini cards for this release. I checked out my envelope punch board to see what card size I could make an envelope using a 6x6 sheet of paper.... 3.5". So that's what I went with. I think they'd be perfect to tuck into a gift or maybe someones lunch or backpack.<br />
<br />
First up, is the adorable <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/203540918/digital-stamp-pinguino-the-penguin?ref=listing-shop-header-2">Penguino</a> with hat and scarf. I colored him with my copics then fussy cut him before putting him onto my card base and embellishing. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR-3uMxDS9RZ_qiClkmpi6YKsvq2wSymt6A9R90hEbylA03GRF8ue88llt7UkofyoTXrfvSd2dbKPqfRPg6O9yoqgn1nzonBdBT_BOFi2dz1WWeh5_vGgFmiaoVdkxVtmLXn9w_VVeWFk/s1600/100_2183.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhR-3uMxDS9RZ_qiClkmpi6YKsvq2wSymt6A9R90hEbylA03GRF8ue88llt7UkofyoTXrfvSd2dbKPqfRPg6O9yoqgn1nzonBdBT_BOFi2dz1WWeh5_vGgFmiaoVdkxVtmLXn9w_VVeWFk/s1600/100_2183.jpg" height="388" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next, we have a great little <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/203541774/digital-stamp-pablo-the-penguin">Pablo</a>. He's holding a cupcake, which would be great for birthdays or any other celebration, but I wanted to use these cute puffy stickers to say 'sweet hello' (you can make out the hello pretty well in the pic, but the sweet is a little faint )... very versatile.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSslGZE56_u0lDVBVuk8jM8IueG0aHHKLfyDowtRw7aiiPT9iuiR6PwMpkQIdThfqOUjMF74Rkphk_lOr7xRcsOyoj5ysf8rgqcNydrix9gxavFtizMM81mXZoCH1l3EER5OvuwbzSdEI/s1600/100_2184.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSslGZE56_u0lDVBVuk8jM8IueG0aHHKLfyDowtRw7aiiPT9iuiR6PwMpkQIdThfqOUjMF74Rkphk_lOr7xRcsOyoj5ysf8rgqcNydrix9gxavFtizMM81mXZoCH1l3EER5OvuwbzSdEI/s1600/100_2184.jpg" height="397" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the third card in the set, I used <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/203550397/digital-stamp-tooey">Tooey</a> and repeated the process (color with copics, fussy cut, put on card, embellish ;))</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgalEiaIjrSrE620BCzC_edQt_77W_5fwuxQjteFaOI65beSnC0CIaRnoCy7rv1u4BhKhnGevGuaFCCrrgZj8h-0YsRRmQt6fOpJarKOcNRk4BARzv4sTPPPv8zrN_PvAF-Z9ohwy0eO8M/s1600/100_2187.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgalEiaIjrSrE620BCzC_edQt_77W_5fwuxQjteFaOI65beSnC0CIaRnoCy7rv1u4BhKhnGevGuaFCCrrgZj8h-0YsRRmQt6fOpJarKOcNRk4BARzv4sTPPPv8zrN_PvAF-Z9ohwy0eO8M/s1600/100_2187.jpg" height="386" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I also got to play with the cool <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/203550749/digital-stamp-igloo">igloo</a> digi that's being released today. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9AJbKdEvgsC6Vu8mSUjleLmONPrlHYN9xmJknxBcXEhK2tCw10dQKoxc0-G9Ha74I2SwSPNcMOfPHnK7nPL9j0o-LaUgKyG7ZMxNIfElmDM8A81Am5K8CdSV36LPiLL54imfsbjj6Lns/s1600/100_2182.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9AJbKdEvgsC6Vu8mSUjleLmONPrlHYN9xmJknxBcXEhK2tCw10dQKoxc0-G9Ha74I2SwSPNcMOfPHnK7nPL9j0o-LaUgKyG7ZMxNIfElmDM8A81Am5K8CdSV36LPiLL54imfsbjj6Lns/s1600/100_2182.jpg" height="297" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I imported it into my Silhouette software and sized it to fit into a regular 4.5"x5.5" envelope. I used the trace function to create a shape slightly larger. Then copied that shape, rotated it to fit along the top to create a folded card, and merged the two so they would cut as one shape (clear as mud?!) This way the card base would have a slight outline to mat the great igloo on. You can't see it in the picture, but the outline is covered with a glittery embossing powder for a 'snowy' effect. <br />
<br />
So that's what I've come up with for this great release - can you see the penguins on some fun Christmas/Winter cards for this year?? Go check out a couple other design team members to see what great things they've come up with using the penguins and other animals being released.<br />

There was a little card announcement in it about 'something merry' coming and it was such a cute little card that I couldn't just pitch it. I thought it was a great little saying for Christmas and it deserved to be put to use! So I grab some supplies (from past and present kits) that were light teal and red to match the card and had at it, ending with this little cutie...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-u15kLm0aMc6fCIM9_nYJ9Y3zG5WlKpkG9A0nGmnTPaaQ25NmdT5oMornwFGhMcSVwnAZL-gxf2A4E9wEgIFkMCJP_XVcV5DItLG7KFSecl3ZY5CbyFbTwPDcZBdFn16-vElWLT0SIQc/s1600/100_2190.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-u15kLm0aMc6fCIM9_nYJ9Y3zG5WlKpkG9A0nGmnTPaaQ25NmdT5oMornwFGhMcSVwnAZL-gxf2A4E9wEgIFkMCJP_XVcV5DItLG7KFSecl3ZY5CbyFbTwPDcZBdFn16-vElWLT0SIQc/s1600/100_2190.jpg" height="320" width="276" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The announcement is that entire business card size white piece on the front. I matted it onto some matching red card stock and added two types of red washi tape along the bottom - one is ruffled one is over that to cover the ruffled seam. Then I added a few little embellishments - some chipboard stars, a teal arrow, a red resin camera (which is tucked under the washi so it doesn't actually look like a camera ;)) and finished it all off with some pearls from this months kit. The card base is an old background stamp I have that I stamped and clear embossed onto the teal card stock.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For the inside, I kept it really simple. I just added two strips of the washi and this sticker which I thought went perfectly with the front saying.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibyIRxJG6aVkZmuauCGzmFJQ-h5EpT7QSDL2JVctrMmyx1Wt3MmEmLCk9D2BQ5uKxJWa0UGz1nBj7z7gxJI1fKK1RYT9fwiwK8Ehx34Qjbt3auTdCKsyV-bQQxGkOPVWorpf34x_qtgdg/s1600/IMG_1932.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibyIRxJG6aVkZmuauCGzmFJQ-h5EpT7QSDL2JVctrMmyx1Wt3MmEmLCk9D2BQ5uKxJWa0UGz1nBj7z7gxJI1fKK1RYT9fwiwK8Ehx34Qjbt3auTdCKsyV-bQQxGkOPVWorpf34x_qtgdg/s1600/IMG_1932.jpg" height="204" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And that makes it official.... my first Christmas card of 2014! </div>

And I've gotten quite a bit of crafting done lately so I thought I'd pop in and share a card I made for two current challenges:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://lawnscaping.blogspot.com/2014/09/lawnscaping-challenge-one-layer.html"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpw6hr3AJkwJkmKOLhq3rln_LAz2HmTEPbdtRYxSb9gW0P1n6fZz9CW33UQfM2zN7KEKCGg3Xm6M1Rvj9LRNmCTfw7ZBgNjxARxBq7S8-6teC1uzwj_gKhTl8rGPkqlJkjPBSS6srEGOU/s1600/89.jpg" height="200" width="200" /></a> <a href="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-happy-birthday-2/" style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" src="http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/wp-content/uploads/sites/6/2013/07/wednesdayblog-logo.png" height="193" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Simon Says Stamp is a pretty easy challenge - 'stamp it' (no digi images allowed!), but the Lawnscaping one is always tough, so I thought it would be a fun to give it a go. I recently bought some Lawn Fawn steps that have been sitting on my desk begging to be played with, so this was perfect!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTZs9z3cVwW1XNjxHQPJRr4f5ETgsKqZsj3-xdBMRKwDTsmDcwCFkQHWmi8wyh15_Go0lRDs0l3xaJLOx9MjU7IRK5SRXzySzHCPKtqAE7V0cs0tFapc-LpM0hTVLLReOy5A-yCBPrCqQ/s1600/100_2178.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTZs9z3cVwW1XNjxHQPJRr4f5ETgsKqZsj3-xdBMRKwDTsmDcwCFkQHWmi8wyh15_Go0lRDs0l3xaJLOx9MjU7IRK5SRXzySzHCPKtqAE7V0cs0tFapc-LpM0hTVLLReOy5A-yCBPrCqQ/s1600/100_2178.jpg" height="331" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To create my one layer card, I used a really heavy card stock and stamped my images. I knew I wanted to use the cogs down the side so I had masked off that area to play with later. Once everything was stamped, I used my prismacolor pencils to color it all in. I love my copics, but for a one layer card, I didn't want to see the marker bleed through. Initially I thought I'd use some embossing paste for the cogs, but decided to use embossing powders and a faux cloisonné technique I learned recently. (I learned the technique with embossing paste, but just skipped that step so it was a more flat on the card front.)<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!<br />

I thought I'd start off my long weekend by doing a little crafting so I'm sharing this little birthday tag I created using another up cycled counter sample and a <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/201656743/digital-stamp-cupcake">Cupcake</a> digi stamp from <a href="http://mywhimsicallittleworld.blogspot.ca/">My Whimsical Little World</a>.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I took the cute <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/201656743/digital-stamp-cupcake">Cupcake</a> digi and printed six copies on one sheet. I knew I wanted to layer it so I colored in different parts on each image with my Copics, fussy cut them all, and layered them with little bits of foam tape. I coated the flame with some glossy accents. While that was drying, I grabbed my tile piece, added a strip of patterned paper that's cut with a curve (a scrap of some other project!). Once the flame was dry, I placed it on my tile and added a little shading on the patterned paper with a grey Copic. To finish it all off, I added a few pieces of bling, some ribbon, and some twine.</div>

Today's newest digis at My Whimsical Little World are music themed. I visited a new to me <a href="http://www.lancastercreativereuse.org/">creative reuse shop</a> close by and picked up some supplies that inspired me while there. So today I have two musical projects using some up cycled items!<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/200187863/digital-stamp-cadence">Cadence</a>, I decided to take a couple of old CDs (I didn't pick these up at the reuse shop, but I saw them there and knew I had a stack of old ones from my hubby and thought they'd be perfect for this!) and turn them into a notebook:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijcDUqS6bd7Gaqqg3KJPm45txrlqGFBMwasA9xyNvxdXY_PQOX7OZWtrtQtNj8YU4Ki3Ofw10QC-k55R8DivnZJFziJmA-yfHMCVbKkcGDRdQlOShARMH3PRR6AfIHm5X6YzSzjJWVZEM/s1600/100_2154.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijcDUqS6bd7Gaqqg3KJPm45txrlqGFBMwasA9xyNvxdXY_PQOX7OZWtrtQtNj8YU4Ki3Ofw10QC-k55R8DivnZJFziJmA-yfHMCVbKkcGDRdQlOShARMH3PRR6AfIHm5X6YzSzjJWVZEM/s1600/100_2154.jpg" height="400" width="323" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by masking the word 'notes' with a few stickers and painting the entire CD black. Then I removed the stickers to have the silver show through. I colored <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/200187863/digital-stamp-cadence">Cadence</a> with Copics and attached her to the front and spread some bling bubbles around here. I painted a second CD to use as the back cover and covered both of the CDs with paper on the non painted sides. I punched the CD using my Cinch binder and added some ribbons to the rings once it was filled with paper.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Another thing I picked up at the reuse store was this household sample (I'm not sure if it's flooring or countertop or what, but I always see them at hard ware stores and thing they'd be great for something!). Since the sample already had a hole punched in it and nicely rounded corners, I decided to use the whole thing for a tag to spotlight <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/200180320/digital-stamp-marcia-her-pup-sinatra">Marcia</a>:</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggorW-tUx1A7zD5GTBZHrm_O2dMXOca9V2oBWwaffXpkB8P1KupHT6uEzHwq9HjWC9OH7HWju46WduD5pkKhfXezwR7oW-AhjF3SZiy5FO5COp6UI4xCd_WblvxtATPC7tNjZmse2ssbA/s1600/100_2151.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggorW-tUx1A7zD5GTBZHrm_O2dMXOca9V2oBWwaffXpkB8P1KupHT6uEzHwq9HjWC9OH7HWju46WduD5pkKhfXezwR7oW-AhjF3SZiy5FO5COp6UI4xCd_WblvxtATPC7tNjZmse2ssbA/s1600/100_2151.jpg" height="640" width="376" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I tried a new color combo for her skiing and love how she turned out :) I used white embossing paste on the cassette stencil over the tag. I love that the sample had the speckled background already so it wasn't just boring black. I added the paper trim along the bottom and a piece of leather cording to add a sentiment (and cover up the brand name that was stamped there ;)). I added some frosted bling around and finished it off by adding some seam binding tied with the same leather cording used on the front.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope you enjoyed my projects. Be sure to stop by some of the other DT members and see what they've come up with as well - </div>

I pulled out a much underused sentiment set and white embossed each of the sentiments onto watercolor paper. In the end, I ended up with a set of 5 cards. Pretty quick and simple!<br />
<br />
I used the <a href="http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.com/2014/07/july-27-august-2-designer-drafts.html">Paper Smooches Designer Draft</a> this week for the card layouts:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://papersmoochessparks.blogspot.com/2014/07/july-27-august-2-designer-drafts.html"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixDrcZRL_Ud-6ScEPAzrdPabNuWe8831Z0pCbxh_ewwvBwWGOYfFPGYOfuHzbVNOc3IkCZ7SEFHc7MgWMZ_MIf2a3mM44a9fBHoZ7NwN5fWeJuxeK_Jk-3Pi8dMsLMoZGDjNzZyWxyNWjS/s1600/July2014DD.png" height="200" width="198" /></a></div>
<br />
Here they are as a the set:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

There are two great new images - a car and a camper - and they work so great alone or together. I couldn't stop coming up with ideas so I ended up with three creations for today!<br />
<br />
First up - a card using the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/197048858/beachwagon-digi-stamp-and-scenery">Beach Wagon</a> digistamp:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQYuwB9Q73WmVV_XLevN1X4aUd90GRn8pkhjz7o-9sDYSMAUxdhs3HhdxZ2eFw-FHLbSjoMIsYjN8wJDBb88phqYDWQxv-Y089zV1PSF6P4AA160YsoJRhhin4YUMltCTvv0zP-cMAQMs/s1600/IMG_1834Jul+6,+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQYuwB9Q73WmVV_XLevN1X4aUd90GRn8pkhjz7o-9sDYSMAUxdhs3HhdxZ2eFw-FHLbSjoMIsYjN8wJDBb88phqYDWQxv-Y089zV1PSF6P4AA160YsoJRhhin4YUMltCTvv0zP-cMAQMs/s1600/IMG_1834Jul+6,+2014.jpg" height="335" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I colored the card with copics and did a lot of cutting to layer the image. The sentiment comes along with the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196293103/digi-stamp-pheobe?ref=shop_home_feat_3">Phoebe</a> digistamp that I <a href="http://ahacreations.blogspot.com/2014/07/summer-friends-at-my-whimsical-little.html">showcased last week</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a close up of the dimension (which I love!!)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCRE2NrxxjAiGSMsAbXaOKTZQ6YdDuIHW5yjivNp7u1ay1KIGdot1hWA99I8npvwNYAYaZSXvha7u4kJ86vTZc6jigzbA139gChtJpfJ6Iy0tc9vIdvHYO7SnLjo1yQuqXxHHc4bvzoA/s1600/IMG_1836Jul+19,+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCRE2NrxxjAiGSMsAbXaOKTZQ6YdDuIHW5yjivNp7u1ay1KIGdot1hWA99I8npvwNYAYaZSXvha7u4kJ86vTZc6jigzbA139gChtJpfJ6Iy0tc9vIdvHYO7SnLjo1yQuqXxHHc4bvzoA/s1600/IMG_1836Jul+19,+2014.jpg" height="218" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Once it was done, I realized I may have went a little overboard as I counted how many layers there were. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6BLbj4ex6aFgRsR9wxVuBGlb5X-DLUhxbIs3ToeHe0cbWVKGifYpZ-6_9pfT1CYQOULAFrZbAYtf-Ac6SPn5b5Y7zWQMHxVVQsN2yp2s0xkwo6mz52_p_lNUtHA7OSpB4rNlTcKoaTe8/s1600/IMG_1835Jul+19%252C+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6BLbj4ex6aFgRsR9wxVuBGlb5X-DLUhxbIs3ToeHe0cbWVKGifYpZ-6_9pfT1CYQOULAFrZbAYtf-Ac6SPn5b5Y7zWQMHxVVQsN2yp2s0xkwo6mz52_p_lNUtHA7OSpB4rNlTcKoaTe8/s1600/IMG_1835Jul+19%252C+2014.jpg" height="135" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I after I finished the card, I moved onto doing a journal page. I combined the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/197048858/beachwagon-digi-stamp-and-scenery">Beach Wagon </a>with the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/197060407/happy-camper-digi-stamp">Happy Camper</a> digi. I thought the images went perfect with this quote. I paper pieced the camper and the car, made some ground and sky, added some stamps and embossing paste. The quote I printed on my computer.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmv0quCXMWeGg-U2OMim_X7yWGZOawL3ciILNJ0jHed8iJ1qAHrWHc9dD3LXSryqZX1Cra8Wk5CzGkLMeptWWFGCjWc_jBHlWCt0WpqKalakV8Hnau5MU35SU1aRZO9yCL1rK0sxUwPGI/s1600/IMG_1846.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmv0quCXMWeGg-U2OMim_X7yWGZOawL3ciILNJ0jHed8iJ1qAHrWHc9dD3LXSryqZX1Cra8Wk5CzGkLMeptWWFGCjWc_jBHlWCt0WpqKalakV8Hnau5MU35SU1aRZO9yCL1rK0sxUwPGI/s1600/IMG_1846.jpg" height="491" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And lastly, I sized the <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/197060407/happy-camper-digi-stamp">Happy Camper</a> digi a little smaller and decided to make a 3x4 pocket scrapbooking card. I thought it would be perfect for the next time I go camping.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-HM9gEouCnxEmYtPirMq0qt77V2ITnEZFYaj0Hj3gbHewz4oeKcD2hjQVHusFQhx-snL3ukARCTEI7j7b-KdTS1zPRMq7cCBwmuLVjYll1Ti7O_5ny77vkDLb0kn5ProvwKGi3s2-qHY/s1600/IMG_1849Jul+13,+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-HM9gEouCnxEmYtPirMq0qt77V2ITnEZFYaj0Hj3gbHewz4oeKcD2hjQVHusFQhx-snL3ukARCTEI7j7b-KdTS1zPRMq7cCBwmuLVjYll1Ti7O_5ny77vkDLb0kn5ProvwKGi3s2-qHY/s1600/IMG_1849Jul+13,+2014.jpg" height="320" width="247" /></a></div>

I was working on something for <a href="http://farmhousememoriesblog.blogspot.com/">Farmhouse Memories</a> using Artist Mae by Some Odd Girl and had to do something up for myself! When coloring her, I knew I wanted to use some of my new embellishments from the <a href="http://ohdeermekit.myshopify.com/pages/about">OhDeerMe embellishment kit</a> that I'm trying out (if you're interested in subscribing for your self, enter my name and email at the check out and we'll both get a $5 coupon!) - it's only month one, but I love what I'm seeing :)<br />
<br />
Anyway, let's see the card already!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW7otqDlzqQ7oVkdEo5RxEEKuynZDSP8YQmxqQvIRt31ip3UYEV2y6pkbag8KdQDUo3w-Xl3Of7I_Xjdl840SWLzRcJAQUpgiOW6yEJCc7-bSTgJ0wS9XLzKhQ92X8wkUekOIziiFOj18/s1600/IMG_1857Jul+15,+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjW7otqDlzqQ7oVkdEo5RxEEKuynZDSP8YQmxqQvIRt31ip3UYEV2y6pkbag8KdQDUo3w-Xl3Of7I_Xjdl840SWLzRcJAQUpgiOW6yEJCc7-bSTgJ0wS9XLzKhQ92X8wkUekOIziiFOj18/s1600/IMG_1857Jul+15,+2014.jpg" height="640" width="531" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the washi tape from the kit to create the background. Since I knew I wanted to use the washi ahead of time, I colored Mae in a nice coordinating green. The hearts, 'yay!' token, and chipboard arrow are from the kit as well.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I don't know what it is, but I'm loving the lime green and teal combo! Here's a little close up of Mae.</div>

There's three in total - <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196172113/digi-stamp-surfer-kody">Kody</a>, <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196293103/digi-stamp-pheobe">Phoebe</a>, and <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196292007/digi-stamp-marigold">Marigold</a>. I made a set of cards using the characters, so let's jump right in!<br />
<br />
First up.... <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196172113/digi-stamp-surfer-kody">Surfer Kody</a>:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6aDqGFtbxIHdKXvz96e41teNBRtfMe_rGiIOWMZ4PQvKVbVvYzP-2feaz2Xm2cToJpLDl9KvHzeJJoI0UN-DAYdZ6Tw5GvhjONVlJhG-z4ky1718RsmT06-btXO-u3Igl8rsKa8jabgA/s1600/IMG_1832Jul+6,+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6aDqGFtbxIHdKXvz96e41teNBRtfMe_rGiIOWMZ4PQvKVbVvYzP-2feaz2Xm2cToJpLDl9KvHzeJJoI0UN-DAYdZ6Tw5GvhjONVlJhG-z4ky1718RsmT06-btXO-u3Igl8rsKa8jabgA/s1600/IMG_1832Jul+6,+2014.jpg" height="400" width="326" /></a></div>
<br />
Followed by <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196293103/digi-stamp-pheobe">Phoebe</a>:<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbyYFL3EtcpRzWi9bGiHqD_aNKQDLiFKO81s0iyc1O6fUHxy8Vk0eZyqUtx1MXxPvbGv53lH6oHqHWEryRLFiR4ajMfxG8R1OnG1W_DO4u8aMFmhvvcC6_1d3-8vXMPslkPSELPmYXH3g/s1600/IMG_1838Jul+6%252C+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgbyYFL3EtcpRzWi9bGiHqD_aNKQDLiFKO81s0iyc1O6fUHxy8Vk0eZyqUtx1MXxPvbGv53lH6oHqHWEryRLFiR4ajMfxG8R1OnG1W_DO4u8aMFmhvvcC6_1d3-8vXMPslkPSELPmYXH3g/s1600/IMG_1838Jul+6%252C+2014.jpg" height="400" width="357" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And lastly, <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196292007/digi-stamp-marigold">Marigold</a>:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_yavyibyqAkbKgccZACelqWuPcHlNHnBg-5DTNJwc-Xb3JRnZKg-W1o6Om2rWhv5la11a1D8DNGI4NBKCCPQhNdy7D5Bbv45-LCg35eBDkawu2o58-T0cUbd30Bmu9IRG1_c3GT1iUhE/s1600/IMG_1840Jul+6%252C+2014.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_yavyibyqAkbKgccZACelqWuPcHlNHnBg-5DTNJwc-Xb3JRnZKg-W1o6Om2rWhv5la11a1D8DNGI4NBKCCPQhNdy7D5Bbv45-LCg35eBDkawu2o58-T0cUbd30Bmu9IRG1_c3GT1iUhE/s1600/IMG_1840Jul+6%252C+2014.jpg" height="400" width="361" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
I colored the hair and skin of all three with Copics - I wanted to try different color combos for each of them, by the time I colored <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196172113/digi-stamp-surfer-kody">Kody</a> and <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196293103/digi-stamp-pheobe">Phoebe</a> looking rather tan, I remembered some of us are 'blessed' with pale skin that burns rather easily, so I used a paler, pinker tone for <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196292007/digi-stamp-marigold">Marigold</a>. :D After that, I grabbed a Basic Grey paper pad and paper pieced the rest of them. <br />
<br />
Some of the digis come with their own background (like <a href="https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196293103/digi-stamp-pheobe">Phoebe</a> - the shell and flower in the sand are part of her background!) which is great for coloring, but I like to add layers so I stamped a cloud background, watercolored some paper with distress ink for the waves and used this great sand-like embossing powder for the sand. <br />
<br />
And I can't forget the insides :) I printed the digis at a smaller size and adjusted the color to match the teal of the card stock that I was using, added some scraps of patterned paper and I end up with a cute set of cards.<br />
