Welcome to the next leg of the Young Crafters Unite Blog Hop!! If you're following the hop, you should have arrived from Efrat S's blog.
What makes me a young crafter?? Well, 1. I'm enjoying the last few months of my twenties and will call myself young until I can no longer get away with it :-) and 2. i love crafting. Crafting of all kinds.

The theme of the blog hop is "Our Favorite Things." Wow... I didn't realize how many favorite things I had until I was getting this post ready! I eventually narrowed it down to four - twine, Lawn Fawn, Paper Smooches, and embossing. Using my four favorites, I made this card up for a coworker who is due with her third child in August -
I started with a card base of Early Espresso card stock and cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that would fit nicely on the front - about 1/4" smaller on all sides (all paper products are by Stampin' Up!). On the Crumb Cake piece, I stamped the stars from the Teeny Tiny Backdrops set by Lawn Fawn - I have many of their sets and this is one that I use A LOT - in Versamark ink. Once the whole piece was covered, I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. In the center I cut out a shape that resembled a onesie.
On a smaller piece of Crumb Cake card stock, I stamped then clear embossed "Congratulations" from the Sentiment Sampler by Paper Smooches. I love the handwriting font on all of the Paper Smooches products! I layered this piece on a slightly larger piece of Early Espresso. I put a button brad on each end. Before adhering it to the larger Crumb Cake piece with dimensional adhesive, I Caribbean and Cappuccino twine around that piece.
I ran a piece of scrap paper through my xyron to make the whole piece nice and sticky. With the adhesive side up, I covered the piece with Caribbean twine from the Twinery. Once the whole piece was covered, I added some pieces of Cappuccino twine where the seams would be. I placed this piece on the Early Espresso card base (make sure that it would cover all of the onesie cut out on the Crumb Cake.) Lastly, I took the decorated piece of Crumb Cake and placed it on the card base, over the twine square, using dimensional adhesives.
