Another card.... what?!?!

I have another card to share for MarkerPop's Anything Goes challenge today:

I think this is my go to color combo lately.  Gorjuss doll was stamped multiple times and bits were colored with copics then layered to give her some dimension.  The patterned paper and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn.  The epoxy stars I found in my stash.

OMG... I colored something!!

I had two baby showers in May so there was a lot of amazing gifts from loved ones and of course lots to put away.  Now that we got all of the goodies in their new homes, I wanted to do something with all of the cards that were given to us.  I have these 12x12 envelope pages that I thought would be great for saving the cards.

I stashed the cards in the envelope then realized I couldn't let the front pocket/label unadorned.  I broke out the copics and had at it! Boy, it's been a while!  Here's what I came up with...

I kept it pretty simple since it as going into the front pocket, although I kept staring at some sequins and epoxy dots that I wanted to use ;)  And here it is in the envelope:

And since MarkerPop is having an Anything goes challenge, I thought I'd throw this into the challenge as well.

Have a great day!

Snow day = Craft day!!

The snow is coming down here today, and since we ran errands last night before the storm, I thought today would be a perfect day to sit and craft!  I'm catching up on some of my scrapbooking - all of the pictures I had printed are done, so now I'm looking for more pics to print ;)

And I remembered I had not made my February - Tim Holtz inspired - tag so here it is:

I followed his directions for creating the background - collaged some paper together, sealed it, traced it with a marker, sanded, added spots of white paint.  For the hearts, I used a couple of heart punches I had.  I punched out a bunch of each one.  The big heart is five layers to gather, the others are anywhere between one and three layers.  To finish the hearts, I used some walnut stain distress ink around the edges.  Once all of the pieces were put together, I smeared some red stickler around with my finger to add some glitter, but not too much ;)

Starting off the New Year right!

It's been awhile since I've crafted just for the heck of it.  I haven't had much energy so what I was doing was for the design team obligations (which I love, I just didn't have any energy to do much else), so things around here have been neglected a little.  This weekend I've found my energy again (or maybe it's coming back now that I'm past the first trimester!) and I've decided to take up the Tim Holtz tag challenge.

Every month I see his tags and think I need to try it for myself.  I never have until today!  It was so much fun trying out some of his techniques.  I don't have all of the distress products, so I've substituted some as I went along, but boy it does make me want to go shopping ;)  The first substation was the tag size.  I didn't have the #8 tags, so I went with the #5.  Much smaller, but I still made it work!

Here's my tag:
